WARNING: Make sure to leave enough cable housing length to accommodate normal steering operation. Failure to do so can result in loss of control, potentially causing SERIOUS INJURY OR DEATH.
The 2027 FLOAT SL SV Rebound Reverse for the Orbea Oiz requires the use of a 3-Position remote with 5mm+5mm cable pull and a 0.9mm cable. Using a 0.9mm cable rather than a 1.2mm cable greatly improves the function of the rear shock remote mechanism by reducing friction both in the housing and as it bends around the cable pulley. The smaller cable diameter also offers increased cable life meaning the user will need to change cables much less frequently.
Cable Installation:
- Push the release lever on your remote to set the remote to the OPEN mode.
- With all housing fully seated and no slack in the system, thread the rear shock cable from the remote though the shock remote housing and around the pulley. Thread the end of the cable through the additional cable guide feature that will retain the cut end of the cable.
- While holding the cable tight, tighten the pinch bolt with a 2mm hex wrench. Do not turn the torx screw that attaches the remote pulley to the shock.
- Push the remote actuation lever twice to set the remote and shock to FIRM mode.
- Cut the excess cable that extends past the cable guide feature leaving enough cable length for the end crimp. Crimp the end of the cable.

- Push the release lever on your remote to set the remote to the OPEN mode.
