GRIP SL Remote Push-to-Lock

Step 1

Use remote pulley to close compression needle to a firm stop by turning it clockwise. This is now in the lockout position.

Step 2

Sub-assemble the Top Cap interface parts. Place the Torsion Spring, aligning the vertical leg of Torsion Spring, into the hole in the bottom of the Cable Remote Pulley. Align the Pulley Set screw facing between the arrow and cable housimh seat. Engage the horizontal tang of the torsion spring with the Cable Housing as shown.

Step 3

Install sub-assy onto Damper  facing desired direction for cable routing. While holding Housing and Pulley assembly in place, install the Pulley Fastener through the top of the Remote Pulley and thread 2 full turns clockwise into the Remote Adjuster Rod.

Step 4

Rotate the pulley CW (clockwise). When turning the pulley lift enough to clear the damper wrench flats so while rotating the pulley you are not turning the comp needle. While holding the pulley and housing in place with downward pressure,  tighten the Pulley set screw to 4in/lbs. The pulley should return freely after lockout.

Step 1

Use remote pulley to close compression needle to a firm stop by turning it clockwise. This is now in the lockout position.

Step 2

Sub-assemble the Top Cap interface parts. Place the Torsion Spring, aligning the vertical leg of Torsion Spring, into the hole in the bottom of the Cable Remote Pulley. Align the Pulley Set screw facing the dot opposite to the arrow. Engage the horizontal tang of the torsion spring with the Cable Housing.

Step 3

Install sub-assy onto Damper with arrow facing desired direction for cable routing. While holding Housing and Pulley assembly in place, install the Pulley Fastener through the top of the Remote Pulley and thread 4-5 turns clockwise into the Remote Adjuster Rod.

Step 4

Rotate only Cable Housing 270° CW (Clockwise) to preload Torsion Spring. Check cable direction. When locked out, check that Pulley Set Screw is alingned to Mark. Torque screw to 4in/lbs while holding Pulley. Pulley must return freely after unlock.
